Our attorneys represent and counsel clients who need assistance with both simple and complex estate, trust, and retirement planning matters. As more and more of an individual’s personal wealth accumulates within IRA’s, 401(k)’s and other retirement plans, the tax consequences of estate planning becomes increasingly critical. We work with our clients and their other professional advisors to create and draft appropriate Wills and Trusts as well as Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives and other related documents and agreements. In many instances, tax planning following the loss of a loved one is more critical than planning during their lifetime. As a result, estate and trust administration services are an extremely important part of the total tax puzzle. We work closely with a decedent’s personal representative and survivors to assure overall tax savings as well as concluding a decedent’s personal affairs in a cost-effective and compassionate manner. Unlike many law firms, all tax work and tax return preparation relating to estates and trusts are done by us, in house, so we are well positioned to not only create, but execute the tax plans that can save our clients significant dollars. |
