Kenneth F. Klanica, a Member of the firm, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1989. Mr. Klanica is a civil trial attorney with a practice concentrated in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, commercial litigation, and general civil defense litigation. He also represents businesses and other creditors in bankruptcy, breach of contract and related claims. Mr. Klanica is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and in the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. Mr. Klanica is also admitted to practice in West Virginia and in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. Mr. Klanica is a member of the Civil Litigation Sections of the American, the Pennsylvania and the Allegheny County Bar Associations, is a past member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Public Service Committee and the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and, in 1997, Mr. Klanica was elected a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel. In 2007, Mr. Klanica became a member of The Maritime Law Association of the United States. Mr. Klanica has pursued creditor’s rights in claims before the United States Bankruptcy Courts in all of Pennsylvania’s federal districts and in state court replevin actions. He has also tried product liability, maritime, and various commercial and personal injury cases to verdict in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. |
