We represent non-profit and charitable organizations both in the start-up phase and on an ongoing basis, assisting with Recognition of Exemption under the Internal Revenue Code, other federal, state and local tax exemption issues and the proper maintenance of their tax-exempt status. We also assist community development organizations applying for and participating in the New Markets Tax Credit Program. Mr. Kessinger represented Pennsylvania’s first recipient of an award under the New Markets Tax Credit Program and assisted them in the successful implementation of Western Pennsylvania’s first New Markets based construction project.
